REGULAR. Students who have registered for 12 or more credits in one of the College's programs will be considered enrolled on a regular status. SPECIAL. Students who have registered for less than 12 credit hours or who have not enrolled in one of the College’s programs will be considered enrolled on a special status. Some colleges and universities refer to this status as transient or visiting. Students on this status may not earn a degree. Petitions to change to regular status may be made to the Registrar. PROBATIONAL. Students who are not making satisfactory progress toward a degree will be placed on academic probation. (See definition of satisfactory progress below.) Students on this status will be limited to 12 semester hours. Students receiving VA educational benefits on this status will be reported to the Department of Veterans Affairs as making unsatisfactory progress. PROVISIONAL. A student who has not completed all admissions requirements or paid required fees may be permitted to enroll on a provisional basis at the discretion of the administration. The requirements must be met before the end of the semester or the work attempted in the semester will not be credited and further enrollment will not be allowed. NON-CREDIT. Evening courses may be taken as non-credit courses. |
