"Faithful Until He Comes"

World Baptist Fellowship May Meeting

It is my privilege to welcome you and invite you to experience the May Meeting of the World Baptist Fellowship.  Whether you have never attended one of the WBF meetings, attend them regularly, or have not been to a meeting in a while, I believe that you will receive something that will positively impact your life.

I think I can sum up the meeting with four characteristics:

Preaching that challenges us!  Each year we have some of the finest preachers from across the country come and challenge us from the Word of God.  We each need to sit under good preaching and be fed from the Word from time to time and the World Baptist Fellowship May Meeting has provided this year after year.

Singing that inspires us!  From congregational numbers where we all blend our voices in praise to our Great God, to mass choirs made up of area church choirs, to soloist and groups that come as special guests the music at WBF brings us into a spirit of worship.  There is nothing like hearing hundreds of voices singing praises in one room at the same time to our One and Only Savior.

Reports that inform us!  We hear reports from mission fields as well as the state-side ministries of WBF.  This is an opportunity for us to rejoice together over what God is doing with people and ministries beyond our own particular field of service.

Fellowship that encourages us!  Yes, sweet fellowship.  Brothers and sisters of faith get to spend the week sharing and encouraging one another in the love and service of Christ.  New friendships are made, old acquaintances are renewed, and good friends have time to laugh, cry, and pray for one another.  Just as the lump of coal that is separated from the rest of the coal soon grows cold, the believer and even the servant of God that is separated from the fellowship of other believers is easily discouraged and soon loses the fire of enthusiasm about serving God.

The World Baptist Fellowship May Meeting is held annually on the campus of Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, Texas.  This is a beautiful campus and the perfect gathering place for people who love Jesus and want to see His work progress.

May I encourage you make it a point to mark your calendar for the dates of the WBF May Meeting and schedule yourself this time of refreshment and renewal.  I promise you that you will leave glad that you did.
