Susan Ward
PROFESSOR
Susan Ward was born January 21, 1947 in Stephenville, Texas. Susan put her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 16. In May, 1967 she married the man that God gave to her.
EDUCATION
Susan has always been a teacher at heart. Even as a child she taught others that were having difficulty. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Tarleton State College (now Tarleton State University) in Stephenville, Texas in January, 1969. After beginning a family and working (volunteer and part time) at her children’s schools God provided a way for her to return to school for her Teacher Certification at The University of Texas at Arlington and other post graduate work in mathematics.
EXPERIENCE
Susan worked in the Duncanville Public School system for 20 years. For 1½years Susan worked with the College Board helping teachers enhance their classroom mathematics skills in the state of Texas and the surrounding states. She retired in May, 2002. In the spring of 2002 she was invited to teach MAT 0390 (Remedial Mathematics) as a night course. Susan has remained on staff at ABC as an Adjunct Professor teaching several mathematics courses: Remedial Mathematics, Remedial Algebra, Business Mathematics, and College Algebra.
Susan’s desire is for Christians to be informed and educated to be the best stewards of their resources that God has given them(especially in financial matters).
