David Schembera

PROFESSOR

     David Schembera was born November 12, 1944 in Webb City, Missouri. David personally put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in January 1965 at the age of 20. Betty and David were married in 1965 aw well. In 1971 they surrendered their lives to the call of God to full-time Christian ministry. David was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 1974.

EDUCATION

      After graduating from High School, Andover High School, Andover, Kansas; David completed a Business Administration Degree at the American Business College in Wichita, Kansas, in 1964. David furthered his education while in the U.S. Navy completing two training courses in Office Administration. David continued his education at the Bible Baptist Seminary, Arlington, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1974. David studied Spanish at the Rio Grande Bible Institute, Edinburg, Texas for a year and a half. David studied with the Anchor Theological Seminary and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1997. David continued his education with the Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated with a Master of Arts in Church Ministry in 2005.

EXPERIENCE

David worked in the youth ministry in the Junior High Department for two years while attending the Bible Baptist Seminary. David and Betty were approved as missionaries to Ecuador in July 1974 by the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency, Arlington, Texas. David and Betty served in Ecuador, South America as missionaries for 26 years until April 2,000. During their ministry in Ecuador 5 churches were established and David helped organize two Bible Institutes in Ecuador. In May 2,000 David accepted the position of Assistant Mission Director with the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency and also has taught Bible and Mission courses at the Arlington Baptist College for 5 years.
