Irene Lau
PROFESSOR
Irene Lau was born in Manila, Phillipines from Chinese immigrants. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She came to The United Sates to attend graduate school. In 1971 she married her husband, David. God blessed them with three wonderful children: Adelina, Nathan and Abby. The Lau family enjoys taking family trips and good Chinese food.
EDUCATION
Irene graduated from Phillipine Women's University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Violin performance. She continued her education at Northwestern University in Evantson, Illinois. She received her Masters of Music in church music with Organ concentration. She also took some courses in the DMA program.
EXPERIENCE
In 1972 Irene began teaching at Arlington Baptist College, after she and her husband moved to Texas. She teaches music courses and applied piano. She is also the Music Minister at Dallas Chinese Bible Church, since 1981.
