An introduction to basic Bible doctrine is offered, emphasizing definitions of terms. Nine of the ten major doctrines of the Bible (Bibliology, Theology, Christology, Pneumatology, Anthropology, Hamartiology, Angelology, Soteriology, and Eschatology) are discussed.

CHRISTIAN ETHICS |
3 CREDIT HOURS |
This course on ethics deals with the moral principles that govern correct conduct, with the emphasis on the right motivation for right behavior. Biblical principles and precepts concerning human behavior are presented as the ultimate authority for the Christian believer.

ECCLESIOLOGY: THE DOCTRINE AND MINISTRY
OF THE CHURCH |
3 CREDIT HOURS |
The student is involved in a detailed study of the church. The nature and function of the church, its officers, its ordinances and its place in God's Word are studied. The universal church theory and the local church theory are investigated, with the local church view supported. The means of carrying out the church's mission is surveyed, with attention being given to Articles 13 and 14 of the Statement of Faith.

SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY I |

This course offers an in-depth study of the doctrine of God which includes such areas as His existence, essence, attributes, and works. The major doctrines discussed in Bible Doctrine are pursued. How man comes to know God and continues to explore the revelation of God to man through scripture is considered.

SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY II |

This course is a continuation of Systematic Theology I. The doctrines are studied to show how one doctrine gives rise to another. Major emphasis will be placed on the Sovereignty of God in Salvation and a number of important terms involved with Salvation: also, the major events of “Eschatology” will be covered.

DIRECTED STUDY |
3 CREDIT HOURS (MAX) |
The student will deal with a problem related to theology through faculty supervised research. A thesis or statement of the problem, an outline of the work and a final paper will demonstrate the student's accomplishment in this study. Prerequisite: Junior standing, THL 2301, and permission of the Department. May not be repeated.
