PE 1105. ACTIVITY. 1 CREDIT HOUR
Students will learn the dynamics of team function while coming to understand the fundamentals of several team sports. Tennis, volleyball, basketball and softball are among the experiences students will be offered. (May be repeated for credit.)
PE 1108. CONDITIONING. 1 CREDIT HOUR
Weight training, aerobics, calisthenics, and other body conditioning techniques are introduced in this course. Students will be shown how a programmed approach to exercise can contribute to good health.
PE 1150. TEAM SPORT. 1 CREDIT HOUR
This course is for students who participate on a sponsored College team. (May be repeated for degree credit up to a total of four credit hours. Credit hours in excess of four will require administrative approval.) Prerequisite: Tryout for some teams.
PE 1190. INDIVIDUAL TRAINING. 1 CREDIT HOUR
The student will be supervised in some phase of physical training. Regular reports will be required as partial evidence of achieving pre-established goals. (May be repeated once for degree credit. Additional hours will require administrative approval.) Prerequisite: Permission of instructor.
PE 3310. ORGANIZED GAMES AND MODIFIED SPORTS. 3 CREDIT HOURS
A variety of low-organized games and lead-up activities for elementary and middle schools are presented. The education major will write objectives for the activities with a view toward making play a valuable part of the school curriculum. Teaching procedures and methods of directing physical education are also discussed.
