2.	DBI-1201-3	OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY	2 CREDIT HOURS
In this course an overview of each Old Testament book is given. The historical, geographical, and cultural backgrounds are explored, as well as the purpose of each Old Testament book. (Substituted for BIB 1301.)
3.	DBI-1205-3	BIBLE STUDY METHODS	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is an introduction to the various tools of Bible study, the methodical and inductive approach to the study of Scripture and the principles of interpretation. (Substituted for BIB 1305.) Back to Top
5.	DBI-2203-3	PENTATEUCH - GENESIS	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is a chapter by chapter study of Genesis which emphasizes the foundations of civilization, religion, and the nation of Israel. The beginnings of God's plan of redemption receive attention. (Substituted for BIB 2303.)
8.	DBI-3201-3	ACTS: LIFE OF PAUL	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is an analysis of the Acts of the Apostles as revealed in the book of Acts. This course considers background information regarding the historical setting, cultural setting, and missionary activities of the early church. The ministry of Paul receives special attention. 9.	DBI-3202A-3	ROMANS – FOUNDATIONS OF THE FAITH	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is an in-depth study of the book of Romans with a focus on Paul's logical five-step progression in his presentation of the foundational truths of the Christian faith. (Substituted for BIB 3302.)
13.	DBI-3201	HERMENEUTICS	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is an introduction to the general and special principles of Biblical interpretation. The importance, history, and methods of interpretation will be investigated. Prerequisite: Junior rank. Theology I and II recommended. Back to Top
14.	DBI-4205-3	PROPHETIC BOOKS III	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course examines the outlines of the books which make up the section of the Bible referred to as The Minor Prophets. These include the books of Hosea through Malachi. Passages relating to the Messianic mission and the restoration of Israel are highlighted. Attention is given to the influence these books had on the New Testament and Christianity. Prerequisite: DBI 1201-3, DBI 1205-3.
15.	DBI-4699	SENIOR THESIS	2 CREDIT HOURS
The student will write a paper of at least 25-30 pages on an agreed upon topic. An outline, endnotes or footnotes, and Bibliography will be included. At least ten different sources should be referenced within the work. The BS degree in Bible by Extension will not be granted without completion of this course. The student will be allowed 6 months in which to complete this course. Cost is $900 plus registration. Prerequisite: Completion of all other course work. Back to Top

6.	DTH-2201-3	BIBLE DOCTRINE	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course is an introduction to Bible doctrine emphasizing definition of terms and the ten major doctrines of the Bible.
7.	DTH-2210-3	ECCLESIOLOGY	2 CREDIT HOURS
The student is involved in a detailed study of the church including: its nature and function, its officers, its ordinances, and its place in God’s plan. Various views of the nature of the church are given and the local church view is supported. The means of carrying out the church’s mission are surveyed. Articles 13 and 14 of the Statement of Faith are explained. (Substituted for THL 2310)
11.	DTH-3205-3	THEOLOGY I	2 CREDIT HOURS
Based on the definitions studied in Bible Doctrine, the relationship of doctrines to each other is examined. Special emphasis is given to: Theism, Bibliology, Theology, Angelology, and Anthropology. This course begins by considering how man comes to know God and continues to explore the revelation of God to man through Scripture. Study is made to show how one doctrine gives rise to another. Prerequisite: DTH 220 1-3. (Substituted for THL 3305)
12.	DTH-3206-3	THEOLOGY II	2 CREDIT HOURS
Based on the definitions studied in Bible Doctrine, the relationship of doctrines to each other is examined. Building on the information covered in Theology I, study is made to show how one doctrine gives rise to another. Special emphasis is given to Soteriology and Eschatology. Prerequisite: DTH 2201-3. (Substituted for THL 3306)
CHURCH MINISTRIES (DCM)
4.	DCM-1210-3	EVANGELISM	2 CREDIT HOURS
This course defines evangelism, and methods of evangelism are examined from their scriptural and historical foundations. Principles are sought which will make the students more effective in witnessing. Since application is essential, students will be required to secure pastoral permission to take this course. The help of the pastor will be required with regard to at least ten "supervised visits" for the purpose of evangelism. (Substituted for CM 1310.)
10.	DCM-3201	CULTS AND WORLD VIEWS	2 CREDIT HOURS
An examination of the teachings of major pseudo-Christian cults is given against the backdrop of a Christian world view. Several other significant world views are also examined in an attempt to better prepare the student to witness and defend the faith both in our pluralistic society and on the mission field. Emphasis is placed on the history, development, and erroneous teachings of these belief systems as well as the unexamined presuppositions which underlie these systems. (Substituted for CM 3201)
