CM 2000. CHRISTIAN SERVICE. NO CREDIT HOURS
All students taking four semester hours or more must complete all sophomore level Christian Service requirements during the sophomore year.
CM 2301. MISSIONARY PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES 3 CREDIT HOURS
The substance of this course is to review the practice and principles of missionary life. Attention will be given to themes ranging from recruitment to reverse culture shock. Special emphasis will be given to the areas of deputation, cultural adjustment, interpersonal relationships and public relations.
CM 2304. INNOVATIONS FOR CHURCH MINISTRIES 3 CREDIT HOURS
This course seeks to clarify the purpose for various ministries within the local church and to investigate innovations that could produce more effective, fruitful churches for the glory of the Lord.
CM 2305. INTRODUCTION TO MISSIONS. 3 CREDIT HOURS
An introductory study is made of the theology of missions, various philosophies of missions, the World Baptist Fellowship philosophy and strategy of missions, and the strategic implementation of such in given cultural settings.
CM 2306. INTRODUCTION TO CHILDREN’S VISUALS 3 CREDIT HOURS
(EDU 2306. Introduction to Children’s Visuals)
This course is designed to introduce students to a variety of standard visual aids for teaching young children. Through lecture, demonstrations, and classroom participation, students learn to construct and properly use some of the following tools: puppets, display boards, videos, flashcards, dioramas, and other interactive visual aids. A variety of teaching methodologies will be emphasized.
